Wealden's rebate and grooving cutters feature in Woodworking Plans & Projects magazine

The latest issue of Woodworking Plans & Projects magazine carries the next article in Anthony Bailey's Router Class series, a tea caddy box featuring a Wealden 4mm Rebate cutter, with a Wealden 1.5mm Groover used to cut the box lid.

Steve Prescott's picture framing techniques features Wealden's exclusive new cutters

Steve Prescott, who writes regularly for British Woodworking magazine, has just completed an article on picture framing techniques using some of Wealden's new range of picture framing router cutters.

Steve used the Limone cutter (part number T3707)to make a frame in ash with walnut stringing detail and the Lanterns cutter (part number T3705) to make a smaller frame in American black walnut.  The Victoria cutter (part number T3713) made a small frame in rippled sycamore, while Steve used the Wave cutter (part number T3709) to make an attractive octagonal frame in oak.  Finally, using the Ripple cutter (part number T3711), Steve made a triple window picture frame in oak.

He also used some of Wealden's dowel drills to insert strengthening dowels into the mitred corners of the frame.

Wealden cutters feature in British Woodworking magazine

The latest issue of British Woodworking magazine has an interesting article by resident craftsman, Stephen Prescott, about the various routing jigs he used in constructing his elliptical maple dining table commission.

Steve utilised several Wealden cutters, but he mentions in particular the Surface Trim 3-Wing cutter, the 6-Wing Surface Trimmer and the router dowel drills.

Wealden launch exclusive range of Picture Frame cutters

An innovative range of Picture Frame router cutters has been designed by Wealden Tools.  The new range comprises six very different mouldings, suitable for a wide variety of timber sizes.

Although many different picture frame styles are available commercially, the choice of timber is very limited and these exclusive cutters allow the woodworker to choose finish and size, and perhaps also a more exotic timber.
