In response to customer requests for good quality planer knives, Wealden have just added a range of HS and TC planer knives to their online stock range.

The high speed steel Italian-made planer knives have a high tungsten content, ensuring a keen edge and long life between sharpens. 

The German-made solid TC knives are for portable planers.  Made from high grade tungsten carbide, the blades are reversible, so offering long life.

Wealden put full range of Colt MaxiCut Forstner Bits into stock

Wealden have added an extensive range of high quality HSS forstner bits, manufactured in Europe and offering ultimate performance and extended life.  Available to buy online.

The geometry of the MaxiCut cutting head combines the advantages of a forstner bit with those of a machine bit to guarantee the fastest cutting performance compared to other forstner bits.  The self-cutting centre point reduces cutting effort and increases cutting speed and the chip breaker design ensures smaller chips for faster cutting and removal.  These Colt MaxiCut forstner bits are manufactured in Europe from the finest raw materials for ultimate sharpness and maximum tool life.

Extensions and morse taper adaptors are available featuring the unique Rotastop shank system, which locks and unlocks quickly and easily in a MaxiCut extension rod.  The extension rods are available in 90mm, 150mm and 270mm lengths and can also be fitted into a chuck or into one of the MaxiCut morse taper adaptors.

New Up-Down Shear Multi-Trim router cutter designed by Wealden

Designed by and unique to Wealden is an Up-Down Shear Multi-Trim cutter, available in either 8mm or 1/2" shank sizes. These compression shear trimmers have two+two blades, which allow them to down-shear cut on both the top and bottom of the material being trimmed, ensuring a clean cut on both faces of the work.  The cutters are especially suited to trimming veneered and faced boards.

The two-bearing design allows the cutter to be used with the template mounted on either side of the work and, consequently, it is possible to cut from either direction using only one template and without moving the template to the other side of the workpiece.  The new Up-Down Shear Multi-Trim cutters are available to buy online on the Wealden website.

Wealden have been supplying routing & drilling tooling and spindle moulder tooling for over 30 years and the latest catalogue contains an extensive stock range.  Copies can be requested online.

Wealden's Spindle Tooling range extended

A new Multi Profile Panel Raising cutter block is now in stock at Wealden.

Manufactured from hard-wearing alloy, the block accepts a range of interchangeable knives and limitors.

All profiles 700 to 706 can be used on the same block, which will also produce a 45 degree chamfer with the timber run above the block.

More new spindle tooling blocks added to stock range

Latest additions to Wealden's online spindle tooling range include an Up-Down Shear Rebate block and a Folding Chamfering block.

The Up-Down shear rebate block is made of hardwearing alloy with two up-shear and two down-shear replaceable TC knives.  Suitable for finish sizing board that is laminated on both the top and bottom, the shear cut gives a clean cut on both faces of the board with little chipping.
 
The Folding Chamfering block, also made of hardwearing allow, produces V-grooves, chamfers and rebates in all timbers on a tilt arbor spindle moulder.  The block produces a very good quality cut in all timber and boards.

A new Two-Wing Glue Jointing cutter block with easily replaceable TC inserts is now in stock at Wealden.

Ensuring consistent cutting performance with no sharpening necessary, the inserts are simple replaced when they become blunt.  Suitable for producing "finger style" reversible glue joints in softwood, hardwood, plywood and all man-made boards.
