New design Template Trim and V-Groove Chamfer cutters now in stock at Wealden

As an addition to the popular replaceable blade multi trim cutter, Wealden have designed a new Template Trim cutter with relief on the bottom of the body and on the replaceable blades.This unique design, which allows the cutter to cut rebates in conjunction with a template and to ramp plunge into the workpiece, is available to buy online.

Also added to the range is a new design V-Groove Chamfer cutter.  This single-flute replaceable tip cutter is suitable for engraving signs on CNC machines as well as for general chamfering and Vee cutting work.  The blades can be rotated in four steps to present new cutting edges and the cutter is also available to buy online.

Kitchen fitter worktop cutter packs now available at Wealden

In response to requests from customers installing kitchen worktops, Wealden have produced Kitchen Fitter Packs aimed specifically at the kitchen fitting industry.

Comprising five identical TCT 2-flute straight worktop cutters, two packs are available: one pack with centre plunge insert and one pack without centre plunge insert.

These cutters are of superior quality for a clean finsh and long life on both natural and man-made boards and are available to buy online.

Wealden add HSS Cobalt Jobber Drill sets to online range of tooling

Wealden now stock three sets of cobalt alloyed jobber drills with high heat resistance suitable for drilling most materials, including high alloyed steels and stainless steel.  The drills are manufactured to DIN338RN in bright finish with 130 degree cross-cut point.

New Template Multi-Trim and Corner Lock Jointer cutters added to Wealden's router ranges

Two new cutter types are now available from Wealden, further increasing the stock range of cutting tools specifically for the woodworking trades.

Template Multi-Trim four flute cutters: a range of tungsten carbide tipped four flute double bearing-guided template trimming cutters, which give a finer finish on difficult to machine materials. Available online in both 8mm and 1/2 inch shank sizes, replacement parts such as bearings, dust shields and collars are also available.

Corner Lock Jointer: tungsten carbide tipped cutters available in 8mm and 1/2 inch shanks which enable the rapid construction of dado corner joints on solid timber and man-made board up to 16mm thick.

Duflex customisable drilling bit system added to Wealden's range

The unique DUFLEX system of arbors, heads and blades provides production-quality drilling solutions with a flexible range of sizes and configurations.  Manufactured in Germany from quality materials, these products are engineered for the most demanding applications.

Tempered and durable boring heads are ideal for heavy work and continuous use.  Bore diameters ranging from 15mm to 40mm can be made using only three different drilling heads. 

To produce a Duflex asembly requires three components:

1.  Select the blade depending on the hole size required.
2.  Select the head to suit the size of blade chosen.
3.  Select the arbor depending on the shank size and length required.

Wealden's countersink/counterbore drills reviewed by Woodworker magazine

The latest issue of The Woodworker features a review of Wealden's countersink/counterbore router drills, with the verdict that they offer "stunning performance, are easy to use and keep on working well over time".

Drill countersinks produce a clearance hole for a wood screw, countersink the hole and finally produce a counterbored hole.  Drill counterbores drill a hole for a bolt, panhead screw or similar and then produce a counterbored hole. 

Both drill countersinks and counterbores are suitable for use in routing machines or drill presses.

British Woodworking magazine reviews Wealden's new Up-Down Shear Multi-Trimmer

British Woodworking magazine features Wealden's new trimmer in the "On Test" section of the latest issue.

Wealden's Up-Down Shear Multi-Trim cutter is aimed at reducing breakout at the top and bottom of a cut.  The magazine test found that the cutter produces an excellent finish with very little breakout and recommended the cutter as being popular for anyone doing regular trimming work, sometimes with the template above and sometimes below the work.
